Gurukrupa Gold Assay & Testing Centre

Privacy Notice

For Gurukrupa Gold Assay on the App Store — the Gurukrupa Gold Assay & Testing Centre application for iPhone and iPad · Home Ganj Sarrafa Bazar, Etawah, Uttar Pradesh – 206001 · Revised 11 August 2026

The centre has been testing other people's metal since 1978, and one rule governs that work: report what is measured, and hold nothing back. The same rule governs this notice. The app opens no account, asks no question about the person holding the phone, and keeps no record of who read which rate.

1. What the app puts on the screen

The app is a board of figures. It carries the centre's own published rate for gold and silver, at the purities the counter is working to, each figure labelled with its standard on the screen. Alongside that it reproduces publicly available futures quotations and international spot prices, as they stand. Coin rates are arithmetic performed on those figures and are shown as such. It also carries announcements the centre publishes — a change of hours, a closure — and the centre's own contact and bank details.

Rates are fetched from the business's own servers. Nothing is fetched about you.

A rate is a measurement, not a recommendation. The app does not forecast a price, does not comment on where a price is heading, and will not tell anyone when to buy or when to sell. Nor is there a catalogue, a gallery, an ordering screen or a chat window, because the centre assays metal and does not sell jewellery.

2. What is collected about the reader

Nothing.

There is no account, no login and no sign-up. A visitor opens the app and reads a rate without stating who they are. The centre could not distinguish one reader from another if it wished to.

The app requests no name, no telephone number, no postal address, no Aadhaar and no PAN. It requests no bank or card details. It does not read location. It does not read contacts. It does not read photographs. It carries no advertising identifier.

Two small preferences are remembered so that the app opens as it was left — the text size chosen, and the screen last viewed. Both are written to the handset's own storage. Neither is transmitted anywhere.

3. Notifications, and the single outside service

Announcements are delivered by Firebase Cloud Messaging, a service operated by Google. To route a message to a handset, Google issues each installation an anonymous registration identifier. That identifier stays with Google. The centre never receives it and holds no list of devices.

The arrangement is deliberately blunt. The app subscribes to the shop's public topic; the centre publishes a message to that topic. There is no mechanism by which a single phone can be addressed, singled out or counted, and the centre has no way to learn that any particular person installed the app.

Permission is requested a few seconds after the rates have appeared, not at launch, so the choice is made with the app in view. Declining costs nothing — every rate and every announcement screen still works. Permission can be withdrawn at any time in the iOS Settings app, under Notifications.

Apart from Firebase Cloud Messaging, the app contains no analytics library, no advertising library and no tracking library of any kind. Google's handling of the registration identifier is governed by Google's own privacy policy.

A notice may carry a picture. Where it does, the phone fetches that picture from the centre's own server at the moment the notice arrives, so that it can be drawn beside the words. The request carries nothing identifying the handset or its reader; it asks for an image and receives one. Should the picture fail to arrive, the notice is shown as plain text — the wording is never withheld for the sake of an illustration.

4. When a tap hands you to another app

Touching the centre's telephone number opens the dialler. Touching the WhatsApp or web links opens WhatsApp or the browser. At that point this notice ends and the policy of the receiving app begins. The centre does not observe what happens after the handover.

5. Keeping, exporting and erasing

There is no personal record to retain, so there is none to produce on request and none to destroy on request. No form need be filled and no request need be made. Removing the app from the device removes the stored text size and last-screen preference with it, and nothing survives elsewhere.

6. Children

The app is rated 4+ and contains nothing unsuitable at any age. As no personal information is collected from any user, none is collected from a child.

7. Amendments

Should the app change, this notice will be corrected before the change is published, and the revision date at the head of the page will be moved forward. A change that altered what the app collects would be stated plainly here, in this section, rather than folded quietly into another clause.

8. Where to put a question

Questions about this notice are answered by the proprietor. A question asked in the shop is answered in the shop; there is no separate department.
